What this screen is
The entry form. You do not need an account - a visiting player enters one tournament and is never seen again, and asking them for a password first is how a club loses entries.
What it asks for
Your name, a way to reach you, and anything the club needs for that competition. If you are signed in, most of it is filled in already.
If the club already knows your email address
If you are not signed in and you type an email address the club already has, the entry waits until the owner of that address says it is theirs. We email them a link; the entry counts once they tap Confirm my entry. This stops anybody entering somebody else without them knowing.
If that was you, open the email and confirm. Signing in first skips this step, because then we already know it is you.
If you get one of these emails and did not enter, tap This wasn't me. Nothing counts, and the club can see it happened.
Saying when you cannot play
There is a box for it, in your own words. It is not a promise the club can always keep, but a convenor who knows you cannot play before six can usually do something about it.
Paying
Some competitions take the fee online and some record it by hand as cash or an EFT. The form says which, and an entry is not lost by choosing to pay later.
The waiting list
If the section is full you go on the list with a place number, and you are told if a place opens. You are never quietly dropped.
If entries have closed
The page says so, and says when they closed. Ask the club - an organiser can still enter somebody by hand.
